Prints

2010 - 2015

As a sculptor, I approach printmaking experimentally through my involvement with materials. The marks were made by drilling into a copper plate, creating round craterlike impressions that vary according to the pressure applied, size of the drill bit, and method of inking. Each print is abstract yet evocative, suggesting multiple readings. References include: looking through a microscope at cellular structures, natural growth, the night sky, the milky way.
